A request for transportation is made by an individual or organization stating their needs. On acceptance, we attempt to match them with volunteer pilots or drivers who graciously donate their time and resources to provide safe transportation, though requests cannot always be accommodated.
Heartland Lift serves individuals and communities facing transportation barriers. This includes patients who need specialized medical care far from home and lack practical transportation options, as well as those requiring assistance for humanitarian purposes, equipment transport, or disaster relief efforts.
For medical transport, eligibility requires financial need or significant physical or emotional hardship when traveling by other means. Air transport is also available for stable patients with serious or terminal conditions who wish to travel by plane to medical appointments, regardless of financial status. All air passengers must be able to safely travel in a small aircraft without restrooms or air conditioning. Documentation may be required depending on the nature of the request.
Heartland Lift is a Quad Cities-based nonprofit organization providing free air and ground transportation services to support individuals and communities in need. We match those requiring assistance with volunteer pilots and drivers who graciously donate their time and resources to make these journeys possible.
Our mission encompasses medical transport for those facing barriers to healthcare, as well as humanitarian assistance, equipment transport, and disaster relief efforts. Heartland Lift is committed to serving our communities through compassionate, reliable transportation when it matters most.
